Used to adhere a sample to its mount while minimizing the charging effects of an electron beam on a non-conductive specimen, conductive adhesive for scanning electron microscopy is available in a wide range of designs and materials for a multitude of applications. At EMS, we carry a complete range of conductive adhesive types, including both conductive tape and conductive glue.
The primary materials used in conductive adhesives are carbon-based adhesives like graphite, and silver, the latter of which is typically employed when an extremely low electrical resistance is necessary for optimal imaging. The consistency of a conductive adhesive can vary based on the specific needs of the specimen. We offer a broad spectrum of conductive adhesive types at EMS, including those like copper foil tape, colloidal silver paste, graphite adhesives, and carbon conductive cement. These materials are also available in several different applicator styles, ranging from micro-tip pens and sprays to small adhesive tabs.
An easy to use fast drying graphite spray to coat small samples. It produces a very flat, thin, and uniform graphite film. Its service temperature is up to 204°C. It's electrical resistance is 1.2 kohm/sq" at 1 ml thickness.
Epo-Tek H20E is a two component, 100% solid silver-filled epoxy system, silver-resin paste and liquid hardener, mixing ration is 1:1. High thermal conductivity suited for high temp applications (300 – 400°C).
Nodified version of Epo-TekH20E. Is a highly reliable, two component, silver-filled epoxy with a smooth, thixotropic consistency (mixing ratio 1:1). Offers high electrical conductivity and short curing cycles.
Epo-Tek H22 is a two component, silver-filled epoxy system. Mixing ratio of silver resin paste and liquid hardener is 100:4.5. Pot life 16 hours, and shelf life is 6 months at RT.
Holds specimen mounts of different sizes a in the outer ring of the holder base and conductive adhesive in center. One side of the base takes 10 of the 1/8" pin mounts; reverse side takes 10 of 10 to 15mm diameter
Aluminum SEM specimen prep stand that can hold pin mounts on a 45° angle and in a vertical and horizontal direction. Screws to secure the mount during prep. 0.5" and 1" mounts can be accommodated. Measures 2.75" ( 70mm) x 2" (50mm) x 1.6" (40mm).
This stand is ideal for either storage and or specimen preparation of mounts. Made from Aluminum and has the capacity to hold up to 40 12.7mm pin mounts or 12 of the 25mm mounts. Measures: 137mm x 89mm x 16mm.
This 12mm diameter conductive tabs work like carbon adhesive tabs. Tabs can be cut to size before being removed from backing, for use on smaller samples.
Excellent adhesive for all paper pasting and mountings of drawings and photographs. It is also used to adhere specimens to SEM Stubs, any excess cured cement can be easily removed, a 4 oz bottle comes with a brush in the cap
Low temperature mini glue gun is safe and is ideal for the mounting of bulk or irregular shaped specimens on SEM aluminum stubs. Comes with a 40" cord, and two glue sticks, accepts 5/16" diameter glue.
Ideal for holding SEM specimens in a vacuum due low outgassing. It easily bonds to surfaces with silicone adhesive and leaves little residue when removed.
Double sided carbon tape with 200 micron Polycarbonate base and 30 microns of carbon filled acrylic conductive glue on both sides. Thickness of 260 microns.
Isotropically electrically conductive pressure sensitive double sided tape. Consists of 3M adhesive loaded with conductive fibers resulting in good adhesion and very high conductivity. Comes pn a 3" (76mm) core.
Isotropically conductive pressure sensitive double-sided tape conducts electricity through the thickness (Z-axis). Good adhesion and electrical performance. Excellent choice for SEM.
